For urgent matters, when the surgery is closed, please ring NHS 111 or if an emergency 999.

Please note that the practice does not complete the Medical Pro-forma in relation to any applications for a firearms/shotgun licence or renewal of a licence.

Test Results


Please call between 12:00 - 14:00 or 17:00 - 18:15 to enquire about any of your test results, as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

Raised cholesterol blood results:

If you are between ages 40-74 you are eligible for a health check every 5 years – please contact reception to make an appointment. If you are diabetic / have a heart condition / on statins, you are already being monitored for this. If you are not in this age range and wish to discuss this further, please call reception.

To lower your lipids, our general advice is for you to follow dietary restrictions as per the ‘lipid lowering  diet sheet’  available here

Additionally we advise regular exercise, the simplest being walking briskly for about 20 minutes 3-4 times a week.

If you are over-weight, reducing this will also help.
